Job Title: Home Renovation Carpenter Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Home Renovation Carpenter to join our team. This role involves working on residential renovation and remodeling projects, including extensions, additions, restorations, and modernisations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, finishing techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship in occupied or existing homes. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Carry out carpentry work for residential renovations, extensions, and alterations. • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications for each project. • Construct, install, and repair frameworks, walls, flooring, doors, windows, cabinetry, decks, and other timber structures. • Perform demolition, structural modifications, and re-framing where required. • Measure, cut, and fit timber and other materials accurately and safely. • Collaborate with trades such as electricians, plumbers, plasterers, and painters to ensure seamless project completion. • Finish carpentry work to a high standard — including skirting, architraves, trims, and custom fittings. • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe job site, especially when working in occupied homes. • Ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes, safety standards, and company procedures. • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget. ⸻ Skills & Qualifications: • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification. • Proven experience in residential renovations, restorations, or additions. • Strong ability to assess existing structures and integrate new work seamlessly. • Sound knowledge of modern and traditional building techniques. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage small projects or assist on larger sites. • White Card (Construction Induction Card) required. • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle. • Own tools preferred. ⸻ Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry building materials and tools. • Comfortable working in tight, varied, or occupied environments. • Good manual dexterity and physical fitness. ⸻ Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Casual (depending on role) Location: [Insert location or region] Salary Range: Based on experience — typically $35 to $50 per hour, plus superannuation and allowances.
