Gardening & Maintenance Hand

Rainforest Gardens is one of the Redland's premier outdoor wedding and function venues situated at Mount Cotton. We are a family business supported by a close team of hardworking and dedicated individuals.

We’re looking for a hardworking, easygoing individual to join our team as a gardening and maintenance hand. This role involves assisting with general garden upkeep, landscaping tasks, and maintenance duties. Due to the physical nature of the work, candidates must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting. The role is casual and shifts may vary depending on the wedding season, so flexibility is key. You’ll need to be able to work independently, manage tasks with purpose, and maintain a fast and efficient pace. This position is perfect for a young person or a university student seeking a second job with a relaxed and supportive environment. If you’re self-motivated, reliable, and not afraid of hard work, we’d love to hear from you!

You will work in a variety of beautiful outdoor settings, primarily in gardens and landscaped areas that are part of our wedding venue and maintenance operations. The work environment is dynamic and changes with the seasons, providing an opportunity to enjoy nature while contributing to the upkeep and preparation of stunning spaces.

You’ll be part of a supportive and relaxed team that values hard work and purpose-driven effort. This role offers flexibility in shifts, making it perfect for students or anyone looking for a second job to fit into their schedule. You’ll gain hands-on experience in gardening and maintenance while working in beautiful outdoor spaces, with the added satisfaction of seeing the immediate results of your work. Plus, it’s a great way to stay active, work independently, and enjoy a refreshing change from desk jobs!

Show us that you’re not afraid of hard work and can get stuck into a task with energy and focus. We love people who are reliable, easygoing, and can work independently without needing constant supervision. A positive attitude, a willingness to adapt to changing shifts, and the ability to move quickly and efficiently will impress us. Bonus points if you genuinely enjoy working outdoors and take pride in leaving a space looking amazing!
