Residential Youth and Senior Youth Worker

Deadly Community Connections, specialises in continuous residential care, outreach support, community access, supervised family contact and transport. We are currently seeking Residential Youth Workers and Residential Senior Youth Workers to join our team in South East Queensland. Both roles are essential in supporting our young people in a residential care setting, with a focus on meeting the cultural needs of our staff and our young people. These roles also require providing trauma-informed care, ensuring that our approach is sensitive to the experiences and cultural backgrounds of our young people. Our Residential Senior Youth Worker will support our Program Service Leader by developing program structures, conducting weekly planning, and training sessions and inducting new staff members into our programs. Our Residential Youth Worker role will focus on directly assisting our young people with their care needs, such as meal preparation, medication administration, and data recording. You will also facilitate their development skills and socialisation while providing transport to school, appointments, and community-based activities.

In our Logan and Ipswich programs

Our Senior Youth Worker role is permanent part time with a set roster with a base hourly rate of $46 to $84 per hour. Residential Youth Work experience is essential for this role. Our Youth Worker role is a casual role where you can work up to 38 hours per week with a base hourly rate of $41 to $79 per hour. Both roles have career progression, and sleepover, public holiday and weekend allowances

Be passionate about working with children and young people, being a strong role model. Have experience in Residential Youth Work Certificate IV in residential care or willingness to obtain Current Blue card, First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
