Senior Project Manager

Meka Recruitment is working with one of Queensland largest family owned and operated civil companies with project throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. Due to an increase in projects, they are looking for Senior Project Managers to come on board and help deliver high quality projects to their clients. This is a rare opportunity to join a company that has high staff retention and a continued focus on professional development.

Duties will include, but not limited to: - Oversee a number of projects within the rail and drainage sectors, ensuring that they are successfully completed on time and within the allocated budgets. - Liaise with the on-site team to ensure that you are provided with up-to-date information regarding the progress, any potential delays and budgets. - Manage client expectations by giving them up to date information regarding the time frames, potential delays and current progress. - Ensure that all sub contractor agreements are in accordance with the Principal contractor terms and conditions - Impliment cost effective solutions for labour resources and plant to remain within budget - Provide senior staff with monthly updates of costings, progress and variations - Ensure that all claims and variations are processed in the correct manner - Deliver projects that meet the company standards and client's expectations. The ideal person will: - Have at least 5 years experience in a Project Management role with a focus on rail and drainage - Experience operating machinery such as Final Trim, Grader and Excavator would be an advantage. - Proven ability to deliver the projects within the timeframe and within budget. - Attention to detail is a must as you will be responsible for overseeing the contracts - Able to build strong rapport with clients, sub contractors and staff - Great communication and negotiation skill as you will be liaising with the internal and external stakeholders - Positive leadership style of management as this company encourages professional development.
